Welcome to the School of Self-Discovery

We value the holistic development of our students, emphasizing academic rigor, resilience, and a passion for learning.

Academics at Gould are designed to meet students where they are and help them grow with purpose. Small classes, passionate teachers, and hands-on experiential learning give students room to explore, ask questions, and take risks.

Our IDEAS Center is a hub for creativity and innovation, offering students the chance to explore new ideas, develop technical skills, and express themselves in ways that expand their thinking and identity while taking on incredible projects like building their own snowboard or skis. In our dedicated Art Cottage, students learn to create, paint, sculpt, and find new ways to express themselves, including unique opportunities in the blacksmithing forge and silversmithing studio. The McLaughlin Science Center supports advanced work in math and science, while the Sanborn Family Library offers a beautiful space for research, reflection, and collaboration. At Gould, students are challenged to think deeply, try new things, and find the path that’s right for them.
