Math

Problem-Solving with Purpose
We create a balanced environment where students engage deeply with their studies while also pursuing hands-on experiences that challenge them to think critically, solve problems, and grow in unexpected ways.
Gould math students solve problems, explore patterns, and apply mathematical reasoning in meaningful ways. Courses emphasize real-world applications, helping students connect abstract concepts to everyday situations. The program supports students at every level, offering foundational courses through Algebra and Geometry, as well as college-level math options in AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and Honors Precalculus.
Small classes and individualized support help students build confidence and fluency. The faculty- and peer-led Math Help Center, held weekly in the Marlon Family IDEAS Center during evening study hall, offers students an opportunity to collaborate and receive extra guidance in an informal setting.
