Join us for a Day of Discovery
A mini open house designed to give prospective students & families a welcoming introduction to Gould, enjoy an interactive experience in our signature STEM facility: the Marlon Family IDEAS Center, guided campus tours, and time to connect with our community.
We’ll conclude with a brief farewell from our Head of School, Tao Smith, and invite everyone to gather for dinner together in the Ordway Dining Hall.

Join Us for Open House
Our Open House events are a great first step. You’ll get a close-up look at Gould’s beautiful campus, meet the people who make this place special, and learn more about our classes, programs, and community.
The day starts with a warm welcome and refreshments, followed by a student-led tour and small group sessions. You’ll eat lunch with students and teachers and wrap up by early afternoon. Want to stay longer? We also offer optional interviews or time to connect with coaches.

Visiting Gould is more of an experience than a formal info session. It’s a chance to meet the people who make it a special place. Here's what a typical day on campus might look like:

Bethel has lots to offer! Hit the slopes at Sunday River Ski Resort or learn more about Bethel by visiting the Bethel Chamber of Commerce website. The Bethel Regional Airport is close to campus for those traveling by private plane or helicopter; we’re happy to help you get around town once you arrive.

While off-campus interviews are available in many locations across the U.S. and around the world, there’s no substitute for experiencing Gould in person. A campus visit gives you a true sense of the people, place, and community that make Gould so unique.
Welcome to Bethel, Maine
Gould Academy is located in Bethel, a historic mountain village in Western Maine. Campus is surrounded by lakes, rivers, trails, and the Mahoosuc Mountain Range—just six miles from Sunday River Resort.
We’re an hour and a half from Portland and just three hours from Boston, making us an easily accessible destination that is still a world away from the city. While here, you can explore Bethel’s local restaurants, shops, museums, and independent theater—all within walking distance of campus. You’ll discover why students quickly feel at home here.


Sunday River
Our partners at Sunday River Resort have the most dependable snow in the East and boast 139 trails on 884 acres of terrain, all just six miles from campus.

Maine Gem & Mineral Museum
The world-class museum houses the largest collection of meteorites on Earth and celebrates the rich geological history of our region.

The Androscoggin River & Grafton Notch
Western Maine features some of the best paddling and hiking in the world, all in our backyard.
Parking on Campus
Visitors can find street parking near campus, as well as designated Gould lots across from the Farnsworth Field House, and at the corner of Elm and High Streets behind McLaughlin Science Center. Accessible parking is available in the Ordway Hall parking lot. Have an EV? Charge up during your visit in the Admissions parking lot.
