  • Gould Legacy Award

    Learning and living at Gould has been a treasured tradition since 1836. Generations of alumni have benefited from the enriching experience of our dynamic community. The Gould Legacy Award is established to benefit children and grandchildren of Gould alumni who qualify for enrollment with $10,000 boarding and $5,000-day student awards.

  • Athletic Hall of Fame Awards

    The Gould Athletic Hall of Fame was started in 2007 to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions in the area of athletics by Gould’s students and coaches. That first group of inductees included six graduates, one coach, and one graduate/coach.  There are now 60+ members of Gould's Athletic Hall of Fame.  Recent recipients are: 

    2019 - Doug Little '77, Dave Berry '79, Lorenda Freeman Dunleavy '61
    2018 - Coach John Wight, Al Sumner '59, Gretchen Dock '68
  • Alumni Honors

    Each year Alumni Weekend is full of fun events including the Alumni Awards Ceremony. This includes the Athletic Hall of Fame and any other alumni honors. Not all awards are presented every year, only when it is appropriate to recognize an individual. We invite you to nominate someone who deserves special recognition.
    The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award
    The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award is presented to graduates who have demonstrated outstanding loyalty and service to Gould, and his or her profession or community over a long period. Gould alumni are out there doing amazing things. Please help us to recognize them. Recent past recipients:

    The Michael S. Stowell ’58 Volunteer of the Year Award
    The Michael S. Stowell Volunteer Award is presented to a person who has provided exemplary volunteer service to Gould Academy over a period of time in excess of the normally expected tenure, and in a fashion that has far exceeded that usually expected of a volunteer.  Recent past recipients:

    The Nathaniel Tuckerman True Award
    This award is presented to a non-alum in recognition of their distinguished contributions to the local or global community through professional, civic, or philanthropic activities. This award has been presented only limited times in the last 45+ years. It is Gould’s most prestigious award. Recent past recipients:

Gould is a small, co-ed, independent boarding school for grades 8-PG.  We are passionate about preparing academically motivated students for college, helping them to become independent-minded, ethical citizens who will lead lives of purpose, action, excellence, and compassion in a dynamic world.
