Pamela Senese ’82

Pamela is an elementary school teacher. She has worked in area Boston independent schools for the past 34 years. She is currently a first-grade teacher at Dedham Country Day School in Dedham Massachusetts, a co-educational Pre-K to eighth-grade day school. She is an adviser to DCD’s Culture Club, an affinity group for students of color in grades one-five and is a cohort of the first faculty SEED group. (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) During her time as an educator, she has served as a member of two AISNE school accreditation committees and has participated in several school-wide accreditation self-studies. 

Pamela is a 1982 graduate of Gould. She received the Gould Academy Alumna of the Year Award, in 1997. She was appointed to the BOT in 2017 and serves on the Executive Committee as well as the Committee on Trustees. She served on the HOS search committee during the most recent search for the head of school. Prior to joining the Board of Trustees in 2017, she remained connected to Gould over the years and served four terms on the Alumni Board of Directors as Chair of the Nominating Committee, Chair of Alumni Weekend Auction Committee, Chair of the Senior Gala, Past President of the Alumni Association and as the Alumni Representative to the Board of Trustees. In addition, she serves as a Class Agent, Class Reunion Co-Chair, and was a Phone-A-Thon participant, and host of many successful GA Boston Area Gatherings at her Family’s home. Pamela’s parents Henry (former Trustee) and Mary Senese were awarded the second Michael S. Stowell Award in 1990 for their service to Gould. 

Pamela holds a BS in Early Childhood and Special Education and a MS degree from Wheelock College. She and her husband Kevin Coakley reside in Wellesley Massachusetts, and Newry Maine.
