College Counseling at Gould: Assessing Academic Fit

This coming spring, tenth graders will spend four weeks meeting with the college counselors -- Ms. Davis, Mr. Pfistner, and Ms. Libby -- beginning to build vocabulary and understanding about the college process, developing resumes, and taking some practice tests.
As part of this education, an online discussion was held Wednesday evening on the topic of "Assessing Academic Fit" in college research. Jon Boeckenstedt, an admissions veteran and data wiz who oversees admission and enrollment at Oregon State University, offered helpful advice and tips to families. The recording is available here
