Express Yourself - Tenth-Grade Four Point Art Workshops

This week during Four Point, tenth-grade students joined their choice of two art workshops run by visiting artists. By gaining exposure to new tools and learning time-tested techniques the students gain confidence, and potentially discover and develop a new creative talent they didn't know they possessed. They also have the added privilege of witnessing master artists at work.
Students chose from eight workshops, including three from Gould alumni: Chef Chris Gould ’02 of Central Provisions and Tipo teaching culinary arts, fashion designer Alexa Stark ’07 shows students how to repurpose vintage clothing into new designs, and designer Karen Eisenberg ’78 teaching jewelry making in the silversmithing shop. Check out the rest of the offerings below.

  • Cardboard Construction with Michael Stasiuk
  • Metalsmithing with Four Point veteran Eric Ziner
  • Circus Arts with Erin Lovett Sherman
  • Re-work Shop with Alexa Stark ’07
  • Jewelry Making with Karen Eisenberg ’78
  • Woodworking with Rangeley Morton
  • Printmaking with Pilar Nedal
  • Cooking with Chris Gould ’02
A big thank you to Denise Manning and Lauren Head for coordinating the week as well as many Gould faculty for helping out, and to all the artists for working with our students.

You can see many more photos and moments from these fantastic workshops on Gould's SmugMug.
