Student Leader Selections

It is again that time of year when we select student leaders for next year. There are four leadership opportunities available:

  • Prefects: 23-25 Juniors and Seniors. Roles include constituency leaders, representing the dorms and day students, community building, and duty during study hall hours.
  • Judiciary Committee Members: 8-10 Juniors and Seniors. These students serve on JCs and work on education around the Community Guide and school expectations.
  • Campus Activities Board: 15-18 Students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors). Responsibilities include helping to plan major school events (Spring Fling, Winter Carnival, etc.), working with clubs to bring opportunities to campus, create opportunities for community service and weekend planning.
  • Student Voice: 8-10 Juniors and Seniors. The core of the student voice committee is the AAA's: Acknowledge: Acknowledge the ideas that were brought to us. Assess: Assess the information and data. Act: Based on the data we are given, we will develop a plan of action and act. Additionally, the group helps create a mutual understanding between Students, Faculty, and Administration, represents and advocates for the needs of the Student Body, and builds respect and trust within the Gould Community.

Students opt-in to the selection process using a letter of intent and writing prompts. Information needs to be submitted to Mrs. Quinn by May 6th. Selections are made using a hybrid of students, constituency groups, and faculty input.
