Gould Boardercross Athletes Competing in Junior World Championships in Italy

Four athletes from the Gould Snowboardcross team will be representing the United States at the FIS Junior World Championships in Passo San Pellegrino, ITA on March 30 and 31. The team is made up of the six fastest males and the six fastest female racers in the country under the age of 20. In addition to the athletes the U.S. team also invited two Gould coaches, Snowboard Program Director KC Gandee and Snowboard Coach Anna Yoshie Yamada, to join the team in Italy.

Competing for the United States will be Mason Hamel ’24, Tyler Hamel ’22, Nathan Pare ’23, and Brianna Schnorrbusch ’24. Beyond the U.S. team, Gould senior Dali Gao ’23 qualified for his home country of China.

"These riders push each other every day at training; bigger, better, faster, more,” says Coach Gandee. “They support and challenge each other to be the very best and that has paid off. As coaches, we couldn't be more proud of them or be more honored to support them and the other Team USA athletes in Italy later this month."

We are immensely proud of this team, its athletes, and its coaches. Gould has an unprecedented presence at the Junior World Championships this year, and the program continues to grow and advance in the world of SBX.

Congrats and good luck, Huskies!
