International Experience

A global community in the mountains of Maine

At Gould, international students are an essential part of the fabric of campus life. They share a global perspective and new traditions in the dorms, classrooms, and with the broader community. From day one, international students are welcomed through a special orientation, guided through academic and cultural immersion in the English Studies Program (ESP), and encouraged to share their culture through activities and events with the Global Student Organization (GSO).

Behind the scenes, Gould supports international families with everything from visa logistics to travel planning. Gould works closely with each student and family to ease the transition and support success. The result is a close-knit, culturally rich boarding school where students from all backgrounds are known and empowered to thrive.

Gould’s ESP supports English Learners as they transition into a fully immersive academic experience. With small classes, individualized support, and credit-bearing humanities courses, ESP helps students build confidence and fluency in the classroom and in daily life.
