Student Advising

Advisory at Gould
A Foundation Built to Last
At Gould, every student has an advisor who truly knows them, their interests, challenges, and where they have room for growth. For students, they’re an advocate and mentor who guides them through big decisions and is there for the everyday moments in between. For families, advisors are the primary point of contact. They are the person who can convey the full picture of life on campus, from academics to residential life.
The relationships built in advising run deep and go far beyond weekly check-ins. Advisors sit with their advisees during morning assembly, at formal dinners, and help guide course selection and goal-setting. Advisors are the ones who show up when students need someone in their corner. They’re the link between school and home, and become trusted adults that students can turn to.

A Home Away From Home

Your Person at Gould
Advisors are the go-to contact for families, sharing updates, answering questions, and supporting students every step of the way.

Real Support, Every Day
Advisors meet weekly with their groups, sit with them during assemblies, and attend events and performances. The advisor/advisee relationship is the cornerstone of a student’s Gould experience and their success.

Advisory Functions
A few times a semester, advisory groups share a meal off campus or at their advisor’s home, creating bonds that feel more like family than school.
