WORKING TOGETHER, SERVING THE COMMUNITY
Gould’s Ski Patrol Program offers one of the most unique and respected high school training opportunities — and Gould’s is the only high school program in the United States formally recognized by the National Ski Patrol.
Here, accomplished skiers and riders learn to lead in real time across actual mountain conditions. You're not just part of the community — you're protecting it.
TRAIN WITH PURPOSE, SERVE WITH PRIDE
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Students in Gould’s Ski Patrol program work directly with Sunday River’s expert patrol team, receiving hundreds of hours of training, including emergency response, toboggan handling, rescue techniques, and on-snow safety protocols.
Those who complete the program and pass a series of tests and evaluations earn the coveted “Jacketed Ski Patrol” status, becoming full junior members of the Sunday River Ski Patrol — With invaluable skills that will last a lifetime.

DOUG ALFORD
Gould Faculty & Program Director
"Students come in to learn how to care for others in emergencies. What they leave with is the confidence to lead when it counts. Ski Patrol training teaches students to think fast, stay calm, and lead with heart — Those traits stay with them, on and off the hill."
