EMPOWERING TOMORROW'S CHANGE-MAKERS

In the mountains of Maine, Gould Academy is preparing students for the world by showing them a different side of it. One where nature surrounds you, yet community envelops you. Where you’re not defined by a sport, a role, a club or a class—but by your willingness to explore it. Here, we push our students to ask the bigger questions: What drives you? What kind of person do you want to be? What values will guide your life?

Gould. Your journey of discovery begins here.

DRIVEN BY Mission

Programs that Set Gould AparT

Four smiling skiers in ski gear ride a ski lift with snow-covered trees in the background.

Snow Sports

With Sunday River just minutes from campus, students ski or ride nearly every day on the most reliable snow in the East. Racing gates, riding snowboardcross, hitting the parks, and working toward Ski Patrol jackets are just a few of the options. A wide breadth of competitive and recreational programs means there’s something for everyone, whether you’re an elite racer or just starting out.

Gould Knows Snow.

A person in snowshoes crouches by a campfire with pots hanging over it, while a snowy forest with a small cabin forms the background.

Four Point Program

Four Point challenges students in new settings, from winter camping in the White Mountain National Forest to becoming a world traveler in countries like Costa Rica and Tanzania, to designing your own independent senior capstone project from the ground up.

Gould’s Signature Program

Experiential Learning

Students at Gould learn by doing, conducting field research, solving real problems, and building their own designs in the IDEAS Center, our on-campus makerspace. Hands-on learning is built into the culture here.
