  • A small boarding school with unique benefits

Beyond small class sizes and personalized attention, we pride ourselves on fostering a genuine sense of community for our students. Residential life is a key part in shaping the overall Gould experience for students away from home.

Support and Values

Our residential life curriculum reinforces Gould's values of kindness, curiosity, creativity, and courage.

Every building has a dedicated team of adults and students committed to supporting residents and implementing the residential curriculum. This team comprises dorm parents residing in faculty apartments and student leaders known as prefects.

Building Layouts

There are three dormitories on campus: Holden and Davidson are for boys, while Gehring is designated for girls and students opting for our all-gender space. Holden offers a variety of room setups including triple, double, and single rooms with shared community bathrooms. Davidson features a mix of double, single, and suite-style rooms. Gehring boasts around 12 rooms per floor with semi-private bathrooms. Each room is furnished with essential amenities including a bed, bureau, closet, desk, and chair. Typically, freshmen are accommodated in double or triple rooms, ensuring a comfortable transition into campus life.

Kitchens and Lounges

Several lounges are nestled within our dormitories. These warm and welcoming spaces are perfect for residents and their guests to relax, enjoy movies, and study together.

You'll find a fully-equipped community kitchen within each dormitory, ready for residents to make snacks or meals while hanging out together. Laundry rooms are equipped with multiple washers and dryers. A weekly laundry service is also available for an extra charge for added convenience.
