Gould Academy offers a competitive boys’ lacrosse program that puts the focus on the game and enjoying what is called the "Fastest Game on Two Feet." Our student athletes learn the game while they play it in an atmosphere that encourages free thinking and creativity. Lacrosse at Gould is FUN.
Boys’ lacrosse teams compete against teams from the Maine Association of Independent Schools Athletic Directors (MAISAD), New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), and the Northern New England Lacrosse League (NNELL).
Gould players have been named as U.S. Lacrosse All-Americans and have gone on to play college lacrosse at schools such as Stevenson University, Salisbury University, Bellarmine University, St. Michael’s College, Bishop’s University, Tufts University, and much more high-level academic and athletic universities and colleges.
Gould is a small, co-ed, independent boarding school for grades 8-PG. We are passionate about preparing academically motivated students for college, helping them to become independent-minded, ethical citizens who will lead lives of purpose, action, excellence, and compassion in a dynamic world.
