Laura Hunter is an accomplished business leader and technology strategist, currently serving as a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Cyber & Strategic Risk services practice. In this role, she helps
some of the world’s largest companies solve their most complex strategic, operational and risk-related challenges.

Laura has spent the past two decades leading collaborative, forward-thinking teams within high-growth technology companies, focused on enabling these organizations to scale quickly, innovate, build new capabilities, and identify new go-to-market models of revenue acquisition and acceleration. Prior to joining Deloitte, Laura was COO and CSO at Focal Point Data Risk, a privately held next-gen cybersecurity consulting firm serving the Fortune 100. Laura was responsible for accountability and innovation company-wide, leading the company through a
period of rapid growth and culminating in its successful acquisition in 2021.

Before that, Laura worked at Cisco Systems where she helped create Cisco’s Security Services business practice from inception and ran the CEO’s global strategic partnership program. Laura
spent her early career as an executive producer for NBC News and CNN in Washington and New York and worked for several top U.S. elected officials.

Throughout her career, Laura has remained a dedicated and hands-on servant leader, focused on the development of diverse, creative and high-achieving individuals and teams. In particular,
she enjoys providing early-career mentorship for women in the cybersecurity and technology fields.
Outside of work, Laura has championed a range of causes close to her heart, especially advocating for women, children and the elderly.

Laura graduated from Gould Academy in 1990 and was captain of the soccer team and member of the ski and lacrosse teams (and Polar Bear Club). She continued on to West Virginia Wesleyan
College where she earned her BA in International Relations, Sociology, and Government and played varsity soccer all four years.

Laura lives in Exeter, New Hampshire, with her partner, Gant, and her mom, Sue. Laura enjoys traveling above all else and can often be found pursuing her favorite outdoor activities, including scuba diving, hiking, horseback riding and swimming.
